Mobile Project Engineer

Ventilate Limited are the South’s leading ductwork contractor with offices in Southampton/Portsmouth and Bournemouth. We serve a wide range of projects spanning simple installations to multi million pound contracts. Due to ongoing expansion we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer who are keen to work from home and have a willingness to travel to Ventilate project sites around the M25 and M4 Corridor.

You will spend 1-2 days per week at our busy, but relaxed offices situated in Southampton which have just over gone a complete refurbishment with heavy investment in technology and personnel.

As a Mobile Project Engineer you will possess the skills to project manage large scale ductwork contracts, working closely with in-house and site staff in addition to coordinating with suppliers and clients, you will ensure a smooth workflow and work to strict deadlines and budgets. It would be an advantage to possess Auto CAD skills as well as the desired experience within project management.

You will have a track record working on Mechanical Services Projects, desirably within Ductwork. With the drive and confidence to work in a professional office based team.

Your skills:

• Proven ability to deliver contracts to programme and within budget.
• Time served in the ductwork industry with the ability to control projects up to 1.5 million.
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Excellent communication skills on all levels from Site through to Clients.
• CAD skills would be advantageous.
• Site problem solving and site measuring.
• Producing sketches for translation into workshop drawings.

Responsibilities/Duties:

To successfully carry out your duties and to safeguard the company's interests in this sector of its operations; this role may require you to take on additional duties relevant to specific projects:

• To contribute and participate in the successful completion of projects.
• You will be responsible for the day to day running and coordinating of numerous sized projects.
• Assist in the completion of site survey's and detail works orders/requisitions for site materials and plant hire.
• Attending where required site progress meetings.
• Dealing with and setting to work of on site labour.
• Produce weekly reports of site progress.
• Reporting back to Contracts managers within our organization.
